Cattle Drive BBQ Rub really shined on this Grilled Venison Roast!
This rub was recommended to me last year and I love it on my brisket.
Celiac is an issue in our family … must have GF products. We like the flavor of BBQ and we smoke a ton of different meats BUT CAN’T DEAL WITH HOT BBQ rubs or sauces. Cattle Drive fits us well … Not only we we use if for our smoked meats but also on tons of items we AIR FRY and DEHYDRATE … It is great on air fryer vegetable chips (1/4” cucumbers, squash … 240 for an hour makes great vegetable chips) … We have purchased other Croix Valley BBQ rubs and with Damon’s guidance we hope none of them is HOT.
Thanks Dee G! We can assure you that we don't make any rubs or sauces that are hot. We measure our sauces by FLAVOR, not Scoville units. After all, we ARE from the Midwest! Enjoy!
Croix Valley Cattle Drive is one of my favorites. The mild spice blend is perfect. Not sure how Damon and Lu do it but the end result still holds the sweetness as well as the spice. I am hooked.
I smoke meats frequently and have continued to search for a dry rub everyone, including the kids liked … THIS CROIX VALLY CATTLE DRIVE DRY RUB has risen to the top of the best liked rub.
So great to hear Dee G! Would love to see some of your crowd pleasing meals, and thanks for letting us know that it's become a household hit!
While you are correct that it is great for beef, I've found it's also great as a boost to ribs. I will combine it with lemon pepper on a half rack, and another bbq seasoning on the other half rack. And sometimes just use it alone with some seasoning salt. Also good on bone-in pork chops on the grill!
